I am really pleased with the results; with three  cats and a dog , the carpets were badly in need of attention but now they look brand new!  In addition to the deep clean,  I had stain protection applied and a complimentary bottle of stain removal spray . Q - How much does residential carpet cleaning cost?

A – Residential carpet cleaning starts from £40 for a single bedroom, with a minimum order of £150. A 1-bedroom apartment is £150, a 2-bedroom house is £260 and a 3-bedroom house is £300 for carpet cleaning only, based on the estimated room sizes shown in our pricing table. All prices include VAT.

Q - Are the products you use safe for children and pets?

A – Yes. The products we use are non-toxic and suitable for homes with children and pets. All products used by Hobbs are environmentally friendly.

Q - How often should I have my carpets and soft furnishings professionally cleaned?

A – We recommend having your carpets professionally cleaned approximately once a year. Regular professional cleaning can also help maintain their appearance and condition over time.

Q - How long do the carpets and upholstery take to dry?

A – Carpets are usually touch dry within approximately 6–8 hours after cleaning. Drying times can vary depending on the carpet type, level of soiling, room temperature and ventilation. Leaving windows open and using suitable heating can help carpets dry more quickly. We also provide overshoe covers so you can walk on the carpets while they are drying.

Q - What cleaning methods do you offer?

A – For most suitable residential carpets, we mainly use hot water extraction, often referred to as steam cleaning. We also offer low-moisture or encapsulation cleaning, which allows carpets to dry more quickly and is mainly used in commercial settings and on suitable low-profile carpets.

Q - What do I do if there is furniture in the room?

A – We ask customers to remove as much furniture as reasonably possible from the rooms being cleaned. We understand this is not always possible, so smaller items can be placed on beds or sofas. Furniture moved back onto damp carpet should be protected with kitchen foil or polystyrene tabs to help prevent damage to the carpet or furniture.

Q - Can you clean carpets in an upstairs flat or apartment?

A – We can service ground-floor flats and apartments, as well as blocks with suitable lift access, because our professional equipment is heavy. We also require nearby parking. If you are unsure about access, please contact us before booking.

Q - Are you fully insured?

A – Yes. Hobbs Cleaning Ltd has public liability insurance and treatment risk insurance with Hiscox Insurance, with cover up to £1,000,000.

Q - Can you remove all stains?

A – Stain treatments are included as standard, and we will always try our very best to remove or improve the stains we are faced with. However, we cannot guarantee complete stain removal. Please point out any staining you are particularly concerned about before we begin cleaning.

Q - What happens if I need to cancel or amend my appointment?

A – We ask customers to provide at least 24 hours’ notice if they need to cancel or amend their carpet-cleaning appointment.

Q - What payment methods do you accept?

A – Payment is due on completion of the job. We accept cash and card payments.
